The story behind this gorgeous piece of jewellery goes back a long way. Today tiaras are rarely worn other than by brides and royalty, but there were some stupendous jewels adorning ladies’ heads in the time of Imperial Russia and a complete revision of styles in the 1920s and 1930s. To be noticed, a tiara is essential.
